Downtown Nashville

Downtown Nashville is where most of the action happens. Downtown holds all of the live music, museums, and a lot of cool history. It is the perfect place for friends and families to have fun and enjoy the country music.

History

Nashville has so much history, and downtown is where it all begins. Nashville was first chartered as a city in 1806 because it was a large river trade depot off the Cumberland river. Once its economy picked up, it became very popular and the population grew rapidly. This is about when Nashville emerged to be the destination for country music. As people were beginning to notice successful Nashville country musicians were becoming, it drew many people from all over. The live music, and many up and coming artists showing up everywhere turned Nashville into a very popular tourist destination. Local Attractions

There is SO much to do in downtown Nashville. Start your day getting breakfast at Biscuit Love. Then head over to Nissan StadiumBridgestone Arena, or First Tennessee Park are where our beloved Titans, Predators, or Sounds win all their games. Want live music? No problem! All down Broadway is the legendary Honky Tonk, where there are buildings and buildings full of live music, and fantastic drinks. One of the most iconic places to hear live music, and grab a few drinks is Tootsies. Tootsies has been around for a long time, and will always give you the true Nashville experience. If you are looking for more of a relaxing experience that is all about the music, there are many other great places to visit like the Ryman Auditorium, and the Nashville Symphony.

Parks + Playgrounds

Downtown Nashville is full of hustle and bustle, but if you look hard enough you will find the cutest parks. Church Street Park is located right in the center of town where many people like to enjoy the outdoors and relax during their lunch breaks. Another park near by is Victory Park, this park is described as peaceful and relaxing by many Nashville citizens.

Most people who live Downtown live in condos or apartments. Some of the most popular places to live are Encore, and 505. These condos are in the perfect location for those who work downtown and do not want a long drive through the city every day! Since Nashville is becoming very populated, the traffic seems to never stop. There is no need to even worry about driving through it if you live downtown, because everything you need will be close by!
